This popular science book includes information on species diversity, taxonomic structure, distribution, current condition of populations, and problems of conservation of the genus Aconitum in flora of Chornohora - the highest mountain massif of Ukrainian Carpathians. There are considered structural features of these plants and the principles of their classification. The key for identification of monkshoods in Ukrainian Carpathians is given. The book briefly and in simple terms represents the information about features, orography and climate of the Carpathians, their regional division, altitudinal distribution of vegetation, and the location of nature preservation objects.
