Anatomical structure of pericarp in Gladiolus imbricatus L. and Iris sibirica L. (Iridaceae)
Abstract
The study of anatomical structure of pericarp in Gladiolus imbricatus reveals that this species has a capsule of Lilium-type, with effective mechanism of dehiscence. While Iris sibiriса has a capsule of Galanthus-type with reduced mechanism of dehiscence.
